We mapped out areas of downtown Cincinnati using a combination of scale models and walking trips. We determined hub spots and simple, often unused paths between them.
The network we decided on for our system included Over The Rhine, Pendelton, The Central Business District, and The Banks. The key locations that act as cultural hubs were decided to be Findlay Market, Washington Park, Piatt Park, Court Street Market, Horseshoe Casino, Fountain Square, Great American Ballpark, Smale Riverfront Park, and the intersection of 12th and Main. Some of these locations, such as Court Street Market, are locations that our group felt have potential to become much better used. These became the locations for the kiosks within our system.
The kiosks were made to be moveable based on the changing needs of the city. The lanterns are designed to attach to existing city poles.
